Welcome to Year R - below are some useful resources to support parents and carers.

YR Curriculum Meeting - please find a copy of the presentation shared with all parents in September.

YR Long Term Overview - at a glance this lets you see how the different areas of learning are mapped out across the year. Each half term there is an overarching project focus linking the learning together - the Summer Term 1 project for YR is Sunshine & Flowers.

Did You Know? (DYK):
To support each project there is an associated 'Did You Know?' sheet. These contain some interesting facts and key vocabulary that it would be useful for children to know. Children can use the resource both in school, and at home, alongside an adult to prompt further discussion. 

Book List (BL):
To support each project there is a recommended book list. These can be used in a number of ways - further reading opportunities for the children, additional research material, or simply reading for pleasure around the project. One or two specific texts may be used in class throughout the half term project - if so, teachers will let you know in advance.
